"The lover of wisdom is also the lover of myth..." -Plato

From the most ancient of eons religion has been an integral part of every human civilization. In the city of Rome this idea has found a home, for it is a city eternally joined with a mythological religion. While we, the creators of this digital photo gallery, have been studying in Rome, we have sought to better understand its mythical stories. We found that what we learned could best be remembered if it was categorized into a photo gallery. In this gallery you will find pictures capturing many great works of art that depict the life of the Olympian immortals. Many mediums from painting to sculptures have been used to depict these deities. Our hope is that from viewing this gallery you will gain a deeper knowledge of Rome’s mythical lore, a lore which gave pride and hope to one of the world’s most renowned civilizations.
